Earn Over $19/HOUR – Housekeeper Needed at Sunwapta Falls Rocky Mountain Lodge

Are you someone who finds satisfaction in keeping spaces clean organized and welcoming? Do you enjoy working in a fast-paced, beautiful environment surrounded by nature and scenic mountain views? If so, this could be the perfect job opportunity for you. We are currently hiring full-time, seasonal housekeeping staff for a reputable lodge nestled in the heart of the Canadian Rockies, specifically in Jasper, Alberta.

This isn’t just your typical cleaning job – it’s a chance to be part of something special, contributing to an unforgettable guest experience while living in one of the most stunning natural environments in the world. Starting in May and running through October 2025, this role offers a refreshing lifestyle and a chance to earn a solid income while being immersed in a unique, nature-focused community.

Working as a housekeeper in Jasper is not your average indoor hospitality job. This position involves cleaning a variety of guest cabins and public lodge areas, most of which are located outdoors in a remote and active setting. The lodge is surrounded by wilderness and the accommodations are not centralized like a traditional hotel, meaning you’ll be walking from one cabin to another – often covering significant ground in a day. If you’re someone who enjoys physical activity and doesn’t mind getting their steps in while working, you’ll likely find the routine energizing and rewarding. Not only will you be helping to maintain a high standard of cleanliness, but you’ll also be operating in a dynamic setting where no two days feel exactly the same.

This role is designed for those who thrive in team-oriented environments but are also self-motivated enough to complete tasks independently. While previous housekeeping experience is appreciated, it’s not mandatory – we’re happy to provide hands-on training to candidates who show dedication and a willingness to learn. What matters most is your attitude: we’re seeking reliable, detail-oriented individuals who take pride in their work and understand the impact of cleanliness on guest satisfaction.

Since this is a seasonal role, it’s ideal for students on summer break, travelers looking to work during their stay in Canada or individuals seeking a break from the city grind while earning consistent pay.

Given that the lodge is in a remote location, we offer affordable staff accommodation for team members over the age of 18, making relocation smoother and more accessible. Imagine waking up in a rustic cabin surrounded by mountains, fresh air and the soothing sounds of nature – then walking just a few minutes to begin your workday with a team of like-minded individuals. Working here isn’t just a job; it’s a lifestyle.

It’s a chance to disconnect from traffic, noise and daily urban stress and instead connect with the land, your team and the guests who visit from around the world to experience Jasper’s magic. For many of our past team members, this job has been a life-changing chapter filled with growth, camaraderie and unforgettable memories.

We understand that applicants may come from various walks of life, including international backgrounds. However, it’s important to note upfront that we do not currently have LMIA (Labour Market Impact Assessment) positions available, which means we cannot assist with work visa sponsorship at this time. Only those who are already legally eligible to work in Canada should apply.

That said, if you do meet the eligibility and are looking for a unique seasonal job that combines physical work, a strong team culture and the opportunity to live in one of Canada’s most iconic landscapes – this might just be the opportunity you’ve been waiting for.

Pay

Hourly Wage:

Successful applicants for this position can expect to earn between $17 and $19 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. This pay range is competitive within the hospitality industry, especially for seasonal housekeeping roles in a high-demand tourist area like Jasper, Alberta.

In addition to your hourly wages, there are opportunities to earn performance-based bonuses and end-of-season incentives, making this role even more financially rewarding for hardworking and reliable individuals. These additional perks will be discussed further under the Compensation section.

Job Type

This is a full-time position.

Applicants should be ready to commit to a complete season of work starting in May or June 2025, with employment ending in October 2025. Because this is a seasonal role, ideal candidates are individuals looking for a temporary work opportunity that offers stability during the high tourist season.

Full-time seasonal work here typically involves five to six days per week, depending on operational demand and staffing needs. Applicants should be prepared to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays, as those are peak periods in the hospitality industry.

Location

Jasper, Alberta, Canada

The job is based in Jasper, a picturesque town nestled in the heart of the Canadian Rockies. Jasper is known for its breathtaking natural scenery, outdoor adventure opportunities and its warm and welcoming hospitality culture. The hotel property itself is located in a remote, high-traffic area and offers a truly unique work experience far removed from the hustle of city life.

Due to the rural and isolated nature of the lodge, applicants should be prepared for a lifestyle that includes long walks between cabins, outdoor work and limited access to urban amenities. That said, the opportunity to live and work in such a stunning and serene environment is one of the job’s greatest perks.

We are hiring multiple seasonal housekeeping staff for various start dates: May 7, June 1 and June 15, 2025. All positions will run until October 2025, which marks the end of the busy summer and fall tourism season in the Jasper region.

Important Note for International Applicants

While we value applications from all backgrounds, we currently do not have any LMIA (Labour Market Impact Assessment) slots available, which means we cannot offer work permits or sponsor international applicants for a Canadian work visa at this time. Only those already authorized to work in Canada should apply.
